VINAYAKA MISSION'S COLLEGE OF PHARMACY, SALEM

ABOUT THE COLLEGE

The Vinayaka Mission's College of Pharmacy was established in the year 1981 at Salem. It is the pioneer institution of the Trust that plays a vital role in the field of pharmacy education and caters to the needs of the society by meeting the ever – increasing demand for Pharmacists in India and Abroad. The College started with a Diploma in Pharmacy (1982) program and currently offers B.Pharm (1993), M.Pham (2003) in five specializations, Pharm.D and Pharm.D (Post Baccalaureate) (2009) programmes. The College is approved by the Govt. of Tamilnadu, Recognized by the Pharmacy Council of India & AICTE, New Delhi and a constituent college of Vinayaka Mission's Research Foundation (Deemed to be University), Salem, Nearly 1000 of students have graduated from the college successfully and practicing the profession of Pharmacy throughout the globe and serving the community. The college has its own independent, multistoried well-designed building located at scenic foot hills of the Yercaud with excellent infrastructural facilities including Class Rooms, Laboratories, Library, Auditorium and Separate Hostel for Girls and Boys. The departments are well equipped with modern and sophisticated equipments.

B.PHARM - 4 YEARS

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

    A pass in 10+2 / H.Sc. or its equivalent Examination with Physics, Chemistry and Biology (Botany & Zoology) or Mathematics and English individually and must have obtained PCB/PCM minimum aggregate marks 40% and 35 % marks in case of SC / ST category.

Candidate shall complete the age of 17 years on or before 31st December of the year of admission.

<ADMISSSION PROCEDURE

    Admissions will be made for UG programme, on the basis of marks obtained in the qualifying examination and merit based Counselling conducted by the Admission Monitoring Committee (AMC) of VMRF-DU and the eligibility criteria prescribed by the Pharmacy Council of India, New Delihi / VMRF-DU rules & regulations from time to time.


B.PHARM LATERAL ENTRY - 3 YEARS

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

    A pass in D.Pharm course with an aggregate marks 50 % taken together in 1st and 2nd years.


ADMISSSION PROCEDURE

    Admissions will be made for UG Lateral entry programme, on the basis of marks obtained in the qualifying examination and merit based Counselling conducted by the Admission Monitoring Committee (AMC) of VMRF-DU and the eligibility criteria prescribed by the Pharmacy Council of India, New Delihi / VMRF-DU rules & regulations from time to time.


PHARM.D (DOCTOR IN PHARMACY) - 6 YEARS

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

    A pass in 10+2 / H.Sc. or its equivalent Examination with Physics, Chemistry and Biology (Botany & Zoology) Mathematics.

Candidate shall complete the age of 17 years on or before 31st December of the year of admission.

ADMISSSION PROCEDURE

    Admissions will be made for Pharm.D programme, on the basis of marks obtained in the qualifying examination and merit based Counselling conducted by the Admission Monitoring Committee (AMC) of VMRF-DU and the eligibility criteria prescribed by the Pharmacy Council of India, New Delihi / VMRF-DU rules & regulations from time to time.

    A pass in B.Pharm Degree Course or its equivalent Examination


ADMISSSION PROCEDURE

    Admissions will be made for Pharm. D(PB) Programmes on the basis of marks obtained in the qualifying examinations and merit based Counselling will be conducted by the Admission Monitoring Committee (AMC) of VMRF-DU and the eligibility criteria prescribed by the Pharmacy Council of India, New Delhi / VMRF-DU rules & regulations from time to time. Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test (GAT) qualified candidates will be given preference for Pharmacy programmes.


M.PHARM - 2 YEARS

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

    A pass in B.Pharm Degree course with an aggregate marks 55%, in case of SC / ST category 50% marks and should have obtained permanent Registration with any State Pharmacy Council.


ADMISSSION PROCEDURE

    Admissions will be made for M.Pharm Programme on the basis of marks obtained in the qualifying examinations and merit based Counselling will be conducted by the Admission Monitoring Committee (AMC) of VMRF-DU and the eligibility criteria prescribed by the Pharmacy Council of India, New Delhi / VMRF-DU rules & regulations from time to time. Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test (GAT) qualified candidates will be given preference for Pharmacy programmes.
