Schools of Studies

The Directorate of Distance Education has currently 6 Schools of Studies with over 54 programs.

The Schools of Studies are as follows:
1. SCHOOL OF HUMANITIES
2. SCHOOL OF SOCIAL SCIENCES
3. SCHOOL OF SCIENCES
4. SCHOOL OF COMMERCE AND MANAGEMENT
5. SCHOOL OF COMPUTER SCIENCE AND INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY
6. SCHOOL OF HEALTH SCIENCES
Each School performs the following functions:

1. Planning and development of academic programs at five levels, namely, the UG, PG, PG. Diploma, Diploma and Certificate programs;
2. Preparing, translating, editing and vetting of Self-Instructional Materials (SIM) and other academic publications;
3. Supervising the printing process of the Self-Instructional Materials;
4. Preparing the academic schedule pertaining to class room timetable, conduct of counseling and practical sessions, assignments,
       model questions for term-end examinations, preparation of exam time table, conduct of examination, valuation, publication of results,
       distribution  of certificates, etc;
5. Evaluating the performance of the students & information centres;
6. Approving the list of academic counselors provided by the information centres;
7. Monitoring the information centres.
